About the EMRP
The Euramet European Metrology Research Programme (EMRP) was a 400 M€ funding programme that ran from 2009 to 2013, cofinanced by the European Union and 23 participating EU Member States. It funded 119 projects in applied measurement sciences, which enabled European metrology institutes, industrial organisations and academia to collaborate on joint research projects within specified fields: industry, energy, environment, health, new technologies and SI units. Each project ran for three years with the final projects completed in 2017. More information on the projects and the impact they have had can be found on the EURAMET website.
The successor programme European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR), co-financed by Horizon 2020, ran from 2014 to 2020. Its follow-up the European Partnership on Metrology, co-financed by Horizon Europe, continues to support measurement research projects in the same fields as the EMRP with additional themes for Green Deal, Digital Transformation, Fundamental, Normative, Regulation, Integrated European Metrology and Research Potential. Visit the participant portal www.metpart.eu for further details of how to become involved in future Metrology Partnership calls.
